We often receive requests from customers who have contracted projects in hand and are now looking for survey equipment. The challenge for them is to acquire the survey equipment and start work as soon as possible.
ROMDAS always rises to this challenge to meet our customers’ requirements and offer equipment quickly – from purchase to delivery.
One such customer was from the beautiful land of Costa Rica where our engineer installed the ROMDAS data acquisition system, Laser Profilometer and high-accuracy GPS. This time the communication technology played a key role for a unique training session.
ROMDAS offers installation and conducts training at the same time – both theory and live demonstration. Usually done due to language barriers, the visual references in training helps operators to understand the system better and keeps it fresh. But this time, the training was provided in two parts.
For the six (6) operators at Castro, it was a requirement to be certified before the system was even shipped. While the backend operations were taking place, we prepared these operators by providing them an online training. The operators learned more about the concepts of data collection and the ROMDAS system hardware in their system.
Once Costa Rican road survey vehicle was ready, our engineer trained the operators for the equipment with the live demo sessions. It was a like a refresher session for these operators.
This dual training sessions ensured that the survey vehicle was on the road quicker. The operators are now well-versed in the use of the laser profilometer system to collect roughness (IRI) data and longitudinal profile with GPS referencing.
Another occasion where we have truly connected with our customers and provided them the services they required.
