DCL is delighted to recently host the elite team of US Airforce (USAF) personnel for an intensive 3-week training program on the state-of-the-art ROMDAS LFOD system. The USAF team at Lakenheath, UK has been avid users of the advanced ROMDAS system for FOD detection for over a year. With the familiarity of the system, the personnel were eager to deepen their expertise in LFOD, particularly with the LCMS pavement data capabilities, which can be a leading cause of FOD at airports.

The immersive training covered all aspects of the ROMDAS technology, with hands-on instruction provided by our expert Support team. The USAF team received thorough training on the gamut of the ROMDAS system from data collection principles and software, pavement condition defects and analysis, foreign object debris (FOD) detection, and video logging to effective office post-processing and reporting.

By the end of the 3-week program, the USAF personnel had gained a comprehensive understanding of how to maximize the full potential of the ROMDAS LFOD system. We believe their enhanced skills and knowledge will be invaluable to ensure time efficiency and positively affect their ongoing efforts for airfield operations and maintenance.
